The Hook

The Hook is a purpose built venue for Spiegelworld’s production at Caesars Atlantic City. The production is a combination of circus and vaudeville that’s “an uproariously funny, adults-only homage to Atlantic City’s glorious golden age of live entertainment.”

As theatre consultants, Studio T+L designed the rigging and dimming/control systems. The rigging system includes a catwalk over the house to provide stage lighting positions, a downstage center performer hoist for flying acts, and a downstage turntable/lift. The extensive stage and architectural lighting power and control system includes 240 relays/dimmers and 30 universes of DMX control. Backstage, the theatre includes dressing rooms, and a rehearsal/green room.

As architectural lighting designers we lit the house, and provided control for the lighting in the surrounding spaces, where audience members are treated to several themed bars and Superfrico, Spiegelworld’s dining and entertainment experience.
